We are constantly being asked what kind of flooring we install. While some flooring installers can have an expertise, after 23 years, we are well versed in all kinds of flooring -even those considered unconventional. Today's post features AstroTurf installation used to convert a play area for small children at a daycare center.

In preparation for new tenants this apartment rehab includes new carpet throughout with vinyl in the kitchen & bathroom.  With several options in different price ranges carpet and vinyl are a great choice for a quick clean look. Bare minimum to flip...still looks nice!

Carpet Square Installation in Office Building

What's a girl gotta do to get some consistency around here? Today's post does not have before and after pictures because there are no before pictures. During my constant struggle to get pictures from installers I have learned to be happy with what I am given, so here goes....

Awesome looking carpet squares installed in an office building. What's really cool about these carpet squares is that not only are they cost effective they are also easily repaired by replacement. If there is ever an issue with a section of carpet due to a stain or rip simply take out that particular square and replace it with an unused square leftover from installation.

Not all commercial flooring projects are made the same. Sometimes we are on a job installing flooring for warehouses or corporate centers, other times we are in small buildings like the one pictured below. This commercial project included hardwood flooring installation in an old house converted to administrative offices for a college in Montgomery County.

Residential Bathroom Carpet Replaced with Vinyl Tile

I told you VCT wasn't just for commercial flooring projects!  Here we have a residential bathroom that was in need of new flooring to replace outdated carpet. We removed the old carpet and put down new plywood before installing VCT. Vinyl tile is an inexpensive solution for carpeted bathrooms or to cover old sheet vinyl.

Flooring Repair before Carpet Installation

Ever step on a certain spot and feel an indent or hear the floor creak?...that could be a rotten subfloor. High traffic areas or water damage can contribute to your subfloor not holding up the way that it should. It is important to fix the subfloor before installing new flooring or the problem will persist even after new flooring installation. Scroll through the pictures in this post to see a rotten subfloor being fixed before carpet installation.

VCT is an inexpensive flooring option for well traveled areas that are susceptible to water and dirt. Usually a "go to" item for commercial properties, VCT can also be a great choice for residential washrooms and bathrooms.
